The story behind Haihtuva, and the partner we are looking for
Haihtuva did not start as a product. It started as a problem BSUM kept meeting in more than 25 years of life-science due diligence: every deal meant copying a company's most confidential files into someone else's storage, and when AI arrived, it was added on top of those copies.
In late 2025 we introduced BSUM-AI, the first 360-degree AI due diligence platform for life science deals, and benchmarked it against top-tier legal due diligence. In spring 2026, Volatile-AI showed that AI can read a data room without copying it. Over the summer we turned that idea into a cleanroom: a sealed, attested machine in the EU where each buyer runs the AI it trusts, and nothing is kept when the room closes.
The result is Haihtuva, Finnish for vanishing. The seller's files are never uploaded: they stay in the seller's own storage and are read on demand. The buyer chooses the AI model it trusts.
IP. BSUM has filed patent applications covering Haihtuva's processing approach and the Expert Activation™ technology. The applications are pending.
What's next. Paid pilots open at haihtuva.com. We believe that with the right partner, Haihtuva can win a significant share of the data-room market sooner rather than later. BSUM is open to strategic partnership discussions, including licensing, co-development and regional commercialisation. Contact: juhani.lahdenpera@bsum.fi
